Who is Ben Breakwell?
A school teacher who was convicted of a number of crimes, incuding s*xual activity with two underage girls, has been jailed for a total of 17 years.

Cambridge graduate Ben Breakwell, 40, groomed two girls, aged 13 and 14, and staged a series of sordid encounters at his home while he was working at a secondary school in London.
Isleworth Crown Court heard how the professional singer abused his position as a music teacher to engage young students in s*xual activity.
Today, he was jailed for 17 years after being convicted of 32 crimes.
Breakwell, who now lives in Monkgate, York, was convicted of 22 counts of s*xual activity with a child, three counts of provoking or inciting a child to engage in s*xual activity, four counts of sexual activity with a child by one person in a position of trust, one count of s*xual assault and two charges of taking indecent photographs of a child.
‘Betrayed’
In September 2017, friends of one of the victims approached a school staff member with suspicions about an inappropriate relationship involving Breakwell.
The school immediately suspended him and police launched an investigation before arresting Breakwell in November 2017.
Raped
CPS Chief Prosecutor Kate Shilton said Breakwell “raped” his victims when he “should have protected them.”
She added: “He convinced these victims who were only 13 and 14 at the time, that they were together, they were special to him and they were in love with each other.
“In fact, he was manipulative and used his position of trust to groom and exploit these young women.
“Breakwell has never claimed responsibility for his actions and throughout the trial he denied that he had engaged in s*xual activity with the victims.”
