Who is Leftist leader ?

These are tough days for the “anti-work” crowd. Along with bedsores, decreased muscle tone, Cheetos stains on clothes, and a deep sense of unjustified entitlement, another job hazard has just emerged for the unemployed: contact with the outside world.

As a result of three minutes on Fox News Channel, the crowd of I Refuse to Be Useful has just seen their movement deviate from its axis by a nuclear level of ridicule. On the social networking site Reddit, there are 1.7 million unconcerned members of a scruffy subreddit called r/antiwork. Fox’s Jesse Watters thought the group’s perspective sounded interesting, so he called one of their leaders to talk. What happened was so bad for the anti-work types that I’m afraid they won’t be able to get out of bed all weekend, although I recognize that it’s a moot point for armies of the prone.

Watters asked some not particularly bad questions of the leader, a transgender person named Doreen, who. . . Well, I would never want to be accused of being rude. Let’s recap how some group members described one of their bosses.

“Doreen, honey, you need to change your appearance. This is coming from someone who looked just like you. You can’t have a messy room, low light conditions, messy hair and expect people to take you seriously.”
“At this point, the face of r/antiwork is that of a lazy, unsuspecting, ungrateful dog walker.”
“It’s like the mods gave Fox News a loaded gun, Fox News gave it back, and the mods proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot.”
“I think this was clearly done on purpose by a Fox scout to show how ‘absolutely ridiculous’ we all are.”

Actually, no, it was their own leader who showed that. Fox just put it on screen. Doreen, who works 20 to 25 hours a week as a dog walker but would like to work less (either that or become a philosophy professor, she explained, because she obviously has a lot of wisdom to pass on), told Watters, “I think laziness is a virtue in a society where people constantly expect you to be productive 24/7.”

Wow lazy? That’s not supposed to be something you say out loud. Laziness is generally considered a character flaw, especially in the US. Antiworkers don’t want to hear it, but the percentage of Americans who were “completely satisfied” or “somewhat satisfied” with their jobs was 87% in 2021, according to a Gallup poll.  Before the pandemic , it was 93%!

After Doreen’s implosion, there was a lot of teasing on the subreddit, so against her stated philosophy, moderators went to work feverishly removing critical posts before shutting it down entirely. (It was later reopened.) Removing all critical comments was like trying to rescue the basement with a cup of tea, but they were resolved anyway.

These people really broke their tail in pursuit of the larger goal of not working. Unfortunately for them, unlike normal people who work and get paid, sometimes even while enjoying it, they have the worst of both worlds: they have to go to work without pay, in deeply unpleasant tasks, making garbage bags full of jokes and insults thrown everywhere over their heads.

So not only will the anti-work movement be haunted forever by a video clip in which it disintegrated live on TV: the YouTube clip got 2 million views, not counting the millions who watched the show live, so implosion is now better known that the group was always alone, now he has to try to bring peace while his own members of the CHUD plate devour each other.

Once again we find that, like those Weather Underground radicals who blew up their own house in Greenwich Village, the left has a kind of genius of destroying itself.

As another Reddit user mused: “If only the CIA were as competent at bringing down ‘leftist movements’ as leftist infighting is.”  @
