Melissa Belshaw Biography
Who was Melissa Belshaw?
Melissa Belshaw was stabbed to death in her home by her ex-partner Andrew Wadsworth in a brutal attack fueled by cocaine and alcohol in May 2019.
Her mother, Jean Mulvaney, believes her daughter’s killer deserves “to go to the deepest and darkest parts of hell” for his crimes.
His comments come as Wadsworth ends his first year of his life sentence for the murder of Melissa, which took place in front of the victim’s teenage daughter.
He was also convicted of the attempted murder of a heroic neighbor who tried to intervene, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 37-year-old villain was jailed for life with a minimum of 32 years in December 2020.
At his trial, the violent criminal Wadsworth was heard to stab Ms Belshaw to death two months after he was released from prison on leave and was consumed by an obsession with his s*x life.
Fueled by cocaine and alcohol, Wadsworth subjected the 32-year-old to a prolonged attack with a large kitchen knife in her bedroom.
Ms Belshaw’s terrified daughter was bravely rescued by a passerby by crashing into the locked house in Billinge, Wigan, with a hammer.
Wadsworth then went out onto the street armed with the same knife and repeatedly stabbed a concerned neighbor who heard screams coming from the property on Upholland Road.
He then circularly kicked a police officer’s chief at the location where he was arrested and then struck another officer in the face in a police cell, Manchester Crown Court heard.
