Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. Her narrative songwriting, which is often inspired by her personal life, has received widespread media coverage and critical praise. Born in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Swift relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. She signed a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2004 and a recording deal with Big Machine Records in 2005, and released her eponymous debut studio album in 2006.

She explored country pop on her second and third studio albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010). The success of the former’s singles “Love Story” and “You Belong with Me” on both country and pop radio established Swift as a leading crossover artist. She experimented furthfurther with pop, rock, and electronic genres on her fourth studio album, Red (2012). Her fifth, the synth-pop album 1989 (2014), effectively transformed her status from country songstress to pop star, supported by the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles “Shake It Off”, “Blank Space”, and “Bad Blood”. The media scrutiny on her personal life that followed largely inspired Swift’s sixth studio album, Reputation (2017), which delved into urban sounds

“homework”

Taylor Swift made it clear that she always understands “homework” when it comes to giving her fans exactly what they want.

Just 13 days before the release of the highly anticipated re-recorded album Red (Taylor’s Version), the pop superstar shared a hilarious message with hers over 183 followers on her Instagram account.

As she flipped through a vinyl version of the next record of her sitting in a brown leather chair, she let Swifties know that she listened to all of her requests.

Giving the fans what they want: All Too Well is speculated to be about her past relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, who she dated from October 2010 to January 2011

Some of the most popular lyrics from the fan-favorite masterpiece include: ‘And you call me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest.’

She has since found love with Joe Alwyn, who she began dating around October 2016.

While quarantining together last year, she and her English beau, 30, co-produced and co-wrote a number of songs on her hit album Folklore.

Phoebe Bridgers

Her latest rerecording will also include nine other bonus tracks as well as duets with Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton, and Ed Sheeran.

Red (Taylor’s Version) will be the second in the line of re-recorded catalogs and feature 30 songs. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was released in April through Republic Records.

Taylor has been re-recording her first six albums after Scooter Braun purchased her entire music catalog out from underneath her and then sold it without her knowledge for $300million to Shamrock Holdings.

The re-released albums will contain the original track lists, as well as songs she wrote or recorded at the time, but didn’t make the initial cut.

‘In terms of production, I really wanted to stay very loyal to the initial melodies that I had thought of for these songs,’ she told PEOPLE of recording Fearless (Taylor’s Version.) ‘And so we really did go in and try to create a “the same but better” version. We kept all the same parts that I initially dreamed up for these songs. But if there was any way that we could improve upon the sonic quality, we did.’
